Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Sales Manager, the Supervisor of Sales Operations is responsible for providing all aspects of operational support to the sales organization’s various distribution channels, which includes but is not limited to material distribution management, training, sales systems support, issue resolution, sales performance tracking and reporting, tools development, give-away ordering, and policy and procedure development and monitoring.   In conjunction with their manager will be responsible for establishing goals and objectives to increase efficiency and support the organizations efforts to grow or retain Medicare membership.  People development is a key responsibility for this leader, given we have limited access to experienced team members who speak or understand the core languages.

This position must work closely with the sales management team to ensure that all channels are supported, in this area focus and urgency should be applied to contract updates, Ready to Sell Process simplification and new system implementation.

Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Development and support of a strong sales operations.
  • Partner with IT to implement or update existing systems and processes critical to sales success
  • Function as one of the lead contacts between other partner departments to advance initiatives critical to the growth or retention of Medicare Members .
  • Develop P&Ps and SOPs which ensure that all channels and team members are clear on how to access services, resolve issues, or interact with other core departments or areas
  • Provide highest quality support to all distribution channels
  • Effectively communicate the company and departmental objectives both in writing and orally to both internal and external partners
  • Communicate effectively to team members, clearly delivering individual and department goals
  • Identify and respond to market trends impacting your area and remain flexible and ready to meet unexpected challenges.
  • Manage the tracking, creation, and distribution of reporting for the department either via our analysts or in conjunction with IT or other departments
  • Work with Compliance to ensure that policies are in place to ensure our sales channels are complying with CMS sales/marketing guidelines
  • In collaboration with department leadership help to manage relevant material/give-away budgets and inventory
  • Ability to travel.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare required or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 5 years sales or sales/marketing operations experience.
  • 3 years people management experience.
  • Medicare Advantage experience required.
  • Sales background is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Office.

Physical & Working Environment

Typical Physical Demands.
Position requires a great amount of sitting and standing. Some lifting, stooping, bending, or reaching is required. May require lifting up to 15‐30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, calculator and telephone. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires the ability to type and file.

Typical Working Conditions.
Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely. The job involves frequent contact with staff and public. Work may be stressful at times. May occasionally work some irregular hours.
